Meets 2nd Tues 1.30/2pm - 4:30/5pm
Venue Private residence - Wymondham
Contact rkrieger@talktalk.net
Details You don't need to be an opera aficionado, the aim of the group is to learn about opera and watch some excellent performances. We spend one month learning about an opera and its composer and the following month watching a recording of it. Some operas are quite long so we start at 1:30 or 2:00 and finish at 4:30 or 5:00. In the month we spend studying the opera, each member contributes, having spent some time carry out a small amount of research in advance. The aspect researched depends on the member's knowledge and interests. (If you have no knowledge of opera, don't worry, you can still find out a little about an opera. I know from my own experience that, if I have some knowledge about an opera and composer before watching a performance, I get much more enjoyment.)
